Services Offered

​All services are complementary in nature and intended to support emotional connection and well-being. They are not a replacement for veterinary, behavioural, or medical care.

Payments & Cancellations

• Payment is required at the time of booking.

• For coaching: Cancellations must be made with at least 24 hours’ notice for a full refund or rescheduled.

• Digital courses and email journeys are non-refundable once delivered.

 

Intellectual Property

All course content, written materials, and guides are the intellectual property of Cat Hamilton. They may not be shared, reproduced, or resold without permission.

By engaging with this work, you agree to take full responsibility for your actions, decisions, and interpretations. My services offer guidance — not guarantees or medical advice.

Terms & Conditions Mindful Dog Walking

​

Bookings and availability

Mindful Dog Walking is a small, relationship-based service with limited capacity.

Membership does not guarantee a specific number of walks or unlimited access to my diary.

Regular walking arrangements are agreed individually and are subject to my capacity.

Once a regular arrangement has been agreed, those walks are reserved for the member.

One-off walks are offered only where I have availability and do not take priority over established regular arrangements.

 

Membership

Membership costs £15 per month.

Membership provides access to the benefits described on this page.

Membership can be cancelled at any time.

Cancelling membership does not automatically cancel any existing booking. Existing bookings remain subject to the cancellation terms below.

The £5 monthly member saving applies to one standard one-hour walk for one dog during each membership month. It cannot be exchanged for cash or carried forward.

 

Changes and cancellations

Members

More than 24 hours before the walk

You can change or cancel your booking free of charge, subject to availability.

Within 24 hours

A change to another available booking will incur a £5 change fee.

If you cancel without making another booking, a £10 cancellation fee will apply.

Unexpected circumstances

Veterinary appointments, serious incidents and other genuine emergencies will always be considered individually and sympathetically.

 

Non-members

More than 24 hours before the walk

You can change or cancel your booking free of charge, subject to availability.

Within 24 hours

A £10 change fee applies.

If you cancel without making another booking, a £15 cancellation fee applies.

Veterinary appointments, serious incidents and genuine emergencies will be considered individually.

 

On-lead and off-lead walking

Dogs will remain on lead unless off-lead walking has been specifically agreed and I consider it appropriate and safe.

I reserve the right to keep a dog on lead at any time if I believe this is the safest option.

Off-lead walking will only be considered where appropriate permission, recall, trust and environmental conditions are in place.

Secure private spaces or hired secure fields may be used for off-lead time where agreed.

 

Two dogs

Walking two dogs from the same household is considered individually.

I will consider the dogs' size, needs, relationship, behaviour, equipment and the practicalities of walking them together.

I reserve the right not to walk two dogs together if I feel this would not be appropriate or safe.

Health and wellbeing

Please tell me about any health conditions, medication, injuries, mobility issues, behavioural changes or other circumstances that may affect your dog's wellbeing or safety.

Dogs who are unwell or showing signs of a contagious illness should not be brought for walks until they have recovered.

I will always make decisions during a walk based on the circumstances I'm experiencing with your dog at that time.

 

Equipment

Dogs should have suitable, secure walking equipment that has been agreed during onboarding.

I may recommend alternative equipment where I have concerns about safety or suitability.

I will not use aversive equipment or methods.

 

Keys and access

Key and access arrangements will be agreed during onboarding.

Keys will be kept securely and used only for the agreed purpose.

Please let me know promptly if your access arrangements change.

 

Photos and updates

I will usually send a photo and brief update following your dog's walk.

Photos are intended as a friendly glimpse into their time with me rather than a formal report.

I will not share photographs of your dog publicly without your permission.

Communication

I welcome communication about your dog's experiences and am happy to share observations from our walks.

The service does not include unlimited or on-demand messaging, behavioural support or coaching.

Where you would like more detailed support, 1-2-1 Mindful Dog Caregiving coaching can be discussed separately, subject to availability.

Changes to my availability

I will always do my best to provide continuity for the dogs in my care.

However, circumstances can change and I may occasionally need to alter my availability or walking arrangements.

If this happens, I will give as much notice as reasonably possible and work with you to find the best solution.

 

My approach

I use force-free, non-coercive methods.

I will not use physical punishment, intimidation or aversive handling techniques.

I reserve the right to decline or end a walking arrangement where I believe it is not appropriate for the dog's wellbeing, my safety or the practical requirements of the service.

By booking a walk, you confirm that you have provided accurate and relevant information about your dog and agree to these terms.
