Smooth & Mindful Rehoming Service

It's heartbreaking to see animals in shelters through no fault of their own, and how easy it is for them to become institutionalised, despondent and anxious. I want to help as many animals as I can find a new home without having to stay at a shelter for the rest of their lives. I'm not saying that shelters are bad by any means, they are doing a fabulous job. However, all beings want a place of their own...
With many of us taking in rescues, sometimes behaviours can get in the way of them being re-homed easily. We don't always know their history, and can be unknowingly taking on animals with potential trauma. I want to help both parties gain understanding and compassion by supporting good relationships, understanding, respect and consideration throughout their journey, and foster harmonious living arrangements from the start. It would be fantastic to be able to support people with keeping their animals through a deeper understanding, however, I know that other circumstances are at play and sometimes it is just not possible for them to stay where they are.
What I can offer you through, mindfulness, compassion, respect and animal communication -

Resolving Behavioural Problems Before Rehoming
Many owners consider rehoming their pets due to behavioural issues such as aggression, anxiety, or destructive habits. However, these behaviours are often a manifestation of deeper emotional or environmental imbalances. By using animal communication, I can help to gain a better understanding of the animal’s internal state and identify the root cause of these behaviours. For example, as an animal communicator, I might discover that a dog’s aggressive behaviour stems from past trauma or a lack of understanding between the last caregiver and themselves. By addressing these issues and providing guidance to both parties, rehoming might be avoided altogether, leading to a more harmonious relationship between them both.
Helping Animals Through the Transition of Moving
For animals that do need to be re-homed, mindful communication and consideration can ease the transition. Moving from one home to another can be a stressful and uncertain experience for any animal, as it disrupts their sense of security and familiarity. Through animal communication, I can help the animal understand what is happening and why, in an attempt to reduce their anxiety during the process. This reassurance helps them settle more quickly into their new environment and keeps them up to date with what is going on.
By communicating the animal’s fears or concerns to the new owners, we can also ensure that their emotional needs are met during the adjustment period. For instance, a communicator might relay that the animal needs extra reassurance during the first few days or that they prefer a quiet, low-stress environment to help them acclimate.
Bridging the Gap Between Old and New Caregivers
I can also play a crucial role in bridging the gap between the previous owner and the new adopter. The current owner often knows the animal’s preferences, fears, and emotional triggers but may not always be able to convey this in words. Through communication sessions, I can facilitate a transfer of this knowledge, allowing the new owner to understand the animal’s unique personality and needs.
For example, an animal might share that they prefer a particular type of food or enjoys sleeping in a certain spot, helping the new caregiver create a more welcoming and familiar environment for them. This not only eases the animal’s stress but also strengthens the bond between the new caregiver and the animals.

Supporting Post-Adoption Success
Once an animal has been successfully re-homed, communication continues to play an essential role in ensuring long-term success. Even after the initial transition period, animals may need ongoing emotional support, especially if they have come from difficult backgrounds. I can help adopters understand how to best care for their new animal, and resolve any post-adoption issues that may arise.

For example, if an adopted dog begins to show signs of anxiety in their new home, I can assist with uncovering anything that the dog is struggling to adjust to new routines or is missing a particular aspect of their previous life. Armed with this information, adopters can take steps to make the dog feel more comfortable, ensuring a smoother adjustment process. There is going to be a settling in process for all concerned.
The Role of Mindfulness and Compassionate Regard in Reducing Shelter Populations
One of the most valuable aspects of respect, animal communication and mindfulness is its ability to reduce the number of animals entering shelters in the first place. Many animals are surrendered to shelters due to behavioural problems that could be resolved with proper understanding and communication. By offering my unique services, I can help animal caregivers address issues before they escalate to the point where re-homing becomes the only option. In cases where re-homing is inevitable, communication helps facilitate smooth transitions, reducing the need for animals to experience the potential stress of a shelter.
